MY STORY
I’m Stacy Sass, founder of Forge Financial Advisory.Long before Forge, I stepped into a struggling family-owned metal fabrication company as CFO. The financial systems were a mess, decisions were being made on gut feel, and the business was mired in debt. I designed and rebuilt the entire financial infrastructure from the ground up — cleaning up the books and creating real visibility (and control) into profitability. I put systems in place that finally let us see what was actually happening and forge a stronger course.That turnaround experience taught me something I now carry into every engagement: most family businesses don’t fail because the owners aren’t working hard enough. They struggle because they don’t have clear, practical financial insight they can trust when it matters most.
I ascended to CEO and eventually successfully exiting that company. Now I want to help other family-owned manufacturers, contractors, and builders get the kind of financial clarity and structure that makes running the business far less overwhelming... maybe even fun again.“I’ll be honest: I genuinely love this work.
